qEEG BRAIN MAPPING
A quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) is a brain scan that can show us what is happening in your brain. It can be used to assist in diagnosing various disorders such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, and more. While typical brain imaging techniques such as MRIs, CT scans and PET scans measure brain structure and are very expensive, an EEG measures brain activity and is significantly less expensive.
The qEEG brain scan produces images that represent electrical activity of various neural regions. These are carefully analyzed by a qualified professional in order to understand what is happening in your brain. We can locate where in your brain issues might be arising and help you train them toward health. Brain mapping is typically done in 1.5 hour and is non-invasive. A 25-minute feedback session is included to discuss the results.
Additional qEEG assessments are administered in order to measure progress and adjust treatment as necessary. After the brain scan, treatment recommendations are developed specifically for your brain, such as biofeedback, and neurofeedback. You will also be provided with an extensive report detailing your brain's activity.
