ADHD

Focus isn’t about trying harder. It’s a brain rhythm — and rhythms can be trained.

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental difference in how the brain regulates attention, impulses, and activity level. It shows up differently in every person — the daydreaming student, the adult drowning in unfinished projects, the child who simply cannot sit still — and it often runs in families.

Stimulant medication helps many people, but it isn't the right fit for everyone, and it doesn't teach the brain anything lasting. Neurofeedback takes a different path: training the underlying attention networks directly.

Working hard to stay on task

Signs it may be time to reach out

  • Difficulty sustaining attention on school, work, or conversations
  • Impulsive decisions, interrupting, or acting before thinking
  • Chronic disorganization, lost items, missed deadlines
  • Restlessness or a motor that never seems to switch off
  • Frustration or low self-esteem from years of "not living up to potential"

How we treat ADHD

We start with a qEEG brain map. Many people with ADHD show a characteristic excess of slow brainwave activity in attention-related regions — a pattern that maps closely onto distractibility. From your map, Dr. Damian builds a neurofeedback training program that rewards the brain, in real time, for producing steadier and more focused activity.

Training is engaging enough for children — sessions feel closer to a video game than a medical procedure — and precise enough for adults. We work with patients ages 5 and up, and coordinate with families, and where appropriate schools, so gains carry into daily life.

What to expect

Sessions are 60 minutes, usually once or twice weekly. Attention training accumulates: most families and adult patients notice changes over the first month, and we re-map periodically to track objective progress alongside report cards, work output, and day-to-day calm.
