Quantitative EEG (qEEG) brain mapping records the brain's electrical activity from the scalp — painlessly, with no radiation and nothing invasive — and compares your patterns against normative databases of expected activity for your age. The result is a detailed, region-by-region map of how your brain is actually functioning: where activity runs fast or slow, how well regions communicate, and which patterns line up with the symptoms that brought you in.
Symptoms overlap; maps discriminate. Poor focus can come from an under-aroused brain or an anxious, over-aroused one — opposite problems with opposite training plans. The map tells us which story is yours.

What happens at a mapping appointment
- A snug cap with sensors records your brain activity — eyes open and eyes closed
- Recording is completely passive: nothing enters your brain, and it doesn't hurt
- Appointments run about 60 minutes
- Dr. Damian analyzes your data against normative databases and reviews the results with you in plain language
What the map is for
Your qEEG becomes the blueprint for treatment — which neurofeedback protocols to use, where to train, and how to sequence care for conditions from ADHD and anxiety to brain injuries. It's also our progress meter: we re-map periodically, and you see your before-and-after — on average, measurable change within about 20 sessions of training. Visit our Outcomes page to see what that looks like.
