Eating disorders — anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder, and related patterns — are serious conditions with roots in brain circuitry, anxiety, and emotion regulation, not personal failure. They also rarely travel alone: anxiety, depression, obsessionality, and trauma are frequent companions, and often what keeps the disorder locked in place.
Our role is to treat that underlying dysregulation, as part of a comprehensive care picture that may also include your physician, dietitian, and — where needed — specialized eating disorder programs.

Signs it may be time to reach out
- Preoccupation with food, weight, or body image that crowds out daily life
- Cycles of restriction, bingeing, or compensating that feel out of control
- Anxiety, perfectionism, or numbness driving eating patterns
- A loved one expressing concern about your relationship with food
How we help
A qEEG brain map characterizes the anxiety- and regulation-related patterns underneath the disorder. Neurofeedback trains toward steadier emotional regulation, while talk therapy with a trusted community provider (CBT, ACT, mindfulness- and compassion-based approaches) works with the thoughts and feelings that fuel disordered eating. Biofeedback adds concrete skills for riding out urges and distress.
We coordinate with your medical providers, and if a higher level of care is ever the safer choice, we'll say so plainly and help you get there.
