Epilepsy is a neurological condition of recurrent seizures — electrical storms that begin when brain activity becomes abnormally synchronized. Medical management with a neurologist is the foundation of epilepsy care, and nothing we do changes that. But some of the earliest neurofeedback research, going back to the 1970s, focused on training brainwave patterns associated with seizure resistance, and this remains one of the field's most studied applications.

Who this may help
- People whose seizures are not fully controlled by medication alone
- Those experiencing the anxiety, low mood, or sleep problems that often travel with epilepsy
- Families seeking complementary, non-invasive support for a child or teen (ages 5+)
- Anyone wanting a clearer functional picture of their brain via qEEG
How we support people with epilepsy
After a qEEG brain map, Dr. Damian designs a neurofeedback program targeting the regulation patterns identified in your map — classically, training the sensorimotor rhythm associated in research with increased seizure threshold. Biofeedback and therapy address stress, a common seizure trigger, and support sleep, which matters enormously in seizure management.
Important: our care is complementary. We do not diagnose or medically treat epilepsy, we never advise changing medication — that's your neurologist's domain — and we're glad to coordinate with your neurology team.
What to expect
Consistent training over months, with periodic re-mapping. Families often begin with a consultation to talk through whether this approach fits their situation — we'll give you an honest answer.
