Pulsed electromagnetic field stimulation (pEMF) uses very low-intensity magnetic pulses, delivered at specific frequencies, to gently influence the brain's electrical rhythms. Because brain activity is itself electrical, well-chosen pulse frequencies can encourage activity toward calmer or better-regulated patterns — a nudge in the direction that training then reinforces.
The fields involved are far weaker than medical TMS; sessions are quiet and comfortable, and most people feel little or nothing during stimulation itself.

How we use pEMF
- Selected — or not — based on your qEEG brain map and history
- Typically paired with neurofeedback so the nudge becomes learned regulation
- Frequencies and placement personalized to your patterns, then adjusted by response
Honest expectations
Research on pEMF for mood and regulation is promising but still developing, and individual responses vary. We treat it as one adjunct within an evidence-based plan — not a miracle device — and we track your response objectively through re-mapping and symptom measures. Dr. Damian will walk you through what current research supports before you decide.

Practical details
Offered at both clinics as part of integrated treatment plans. Non-invasive, medication-free, and generally well tolerated; we'll review the small number of situations (such as implanted electronic devices) where it isn't appropriate.
