A stroke injures the brain in a specific place, but its effects ripple through whole networks — affecting movement, speech, memory, attention, mood, and energy. Rehabilitation works because the brain can reorganize around damage. That reorganization is trainable, and it continues far longer than many people are told.

Signs we may be able to help
- Cognitive changes after stroke: attention, memory, processing speed
- Post-stroke depression, anxiety, or emotional volatility
- Fatigue and poor sleep that slow rehabilitation
- A plateau in recovery and a desire to keep pushing forward
How we support stroke recovery
We begin with a qEEG brain map to see how electrical activity has been affected — both at the injury site and across connected networks. Neurofeedback training then encourages healthier patterns in those networks, supporting the neuroplastic reorganization that rehabilitation depends on. Biofeedback and psychotherapy address the anxiety, low mood, and sleep disruption that so often accompany recovery and quietly hold it back.
This work complements — never replaces — your medical and rehabilitation care. We're glad to coordinate with your neurologist, physiatrist, and therapy team.

What to expect
Progress is measured, literally: periodic re-mapping shows change over time alongside functional gains. Sessions are 60 minutes, available in Oakland and Santa Rosa.
